Get talking to Artists with Skype's latest campaign

For their latest campaign, Skype have put five artists around the world and made it possible for you to send messages to them.

In this case, the campaign is a clever, simple and fun way of getting people to experience the product that is Skype and get co-creative while they're at it. I think this idea is a great example of getting people interactive with a brand, inviting participation as along a similar grain as the Nike chalkbot we saw last year.

And it crosses a lot of the ideas currently circulating around new media and campaign strategies that are not only creative but also powered using social media. Does it matter that the brand is already a major player as a platform for social communications? In my opinion.. not really.

Recyclevertising For Sony

Sony recently recycled cast-off advertising banners into a collection of jeans. Called the "Recycle Project Jeans," the concept used ads which were displayed on the side of their building, in turn hanging and selling the upcycled product on that same wall

#Twitterart : a new form of digital aesthetic

Media_httpwwwbrandflakesforbreakfastcomuploadedimagestwitterart702288jpg_tijakxwlwifwerb

It's never too long with a new medium that artists start beginning to experiment with what you can do with it and causing a little disruption. Here twitter is no exception.

So it happens that a group of individuals have started to ask, what if you could create art, a tweet at a time ?

And here we find a trend emerging as we speak of twitterartists.

Artists like @TW1TT3Rart and @guy_vincent are perhaps those most prominent in the scene at the moment, singlehandedly constructing a new art form, one tweet at a time.

Ironically, it's handcrafted : combining nothing but a computer, a keyboard, and your imagination.

A personal gallery composed of artworks in 140 characters (or less).

Completely screwing with the medium (of course!! )but still cool and still adding value to anyone who wishes to follow.

Visit these guys and follow the hashtag #twitterart to enjoy this new step in digital creation.
